OUTRAGEOUS DECISION for Lick High School!

Help convince ESUHSD to keep Bill Rice at Lick

JLHS Community Meeting, Wednesday, October 12, 6:30 PM

The teachers and staff of James Lick High School just learned today (Tuesday) that Acting District Superintendent, Bob Nuñez, is relocating Principal Bill Rice to Independence High School almost immediately.

The Lick community is outraged that a gifted leader, who has been an outstanding catalyst for change at the high school, is being removed. Just a few weeks ago Bill Rice was named JLHS Principal – after 18 months of co-directing the school with two others. The teachers and staff are inviting parents and community members to meet with them tomorrow evening (Wednesday) to express their (and our) enormous outrage and to convey it to Mr. Nuñez.

When and Where: Wednesday, October 12, 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the James Lick library

Principal Bill Rice has been the driving force in Lick High’s turn-around. He has earned the respect of the students and staff. To lose him now would take the momentum out of the school’s precarious progress. Make your opinion known tomorrow evening!
