Regional Medical Center Meeting, Wednesday, April 21, 7:00 PM

What services would you like to see at “our” medical center?

Regional Medical Center of San Jose (formerly Alexian Brothers Hospital on Jackson Avenue) proposes changing and expanding to become a large “destination hospital.” What services would YOU like to be sure are included?

Your input is invited at a Community Meeting, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21, 2004, 7:00 PM at the Mexican Heritage Plaza, 1700 Alum Rock Avenue, Main Pavilion Room.

Here’s the perfect opportunity for the community (YOU!) to make sure YOU get a state-of-the-art facility with the services YOU need.

From the official invitation: “Regional Medical Center of San Jose invites you to a community meeting to discuss a proposed development to expand the existing medical facilities. The Proposed Project includes changing the General Plan to Public/Quasi-Public and a Planned Development Zoning to allow up to 1,057,000 square feet of new and existing medical facilities, which will modernize and expand the existing Regional Medical Center.”

“If you have additional questions regarding the project or this meeting, please contact Christine Silva Burnett in Councilmember Nora Campos’ Office at (408) 277-5157 or the Project Manager, Deanna Chow, at the City’s Department of Planning (408) 277-4576.”

To read how a real trauma center saves lives, see the current issue (May, 2004) of Reader’s Digest, Page 126, “America’s Best ER,” where “97% of patients survive.” Wouldn’t it be nice to have a trauma unit like this here in East San Jose?
