Ballet San Jose Silicon Valley School is a
Not-for-Profit Organization serving 360 young people with year-round
professional level training in dance. The school's outreach program also offers
free Ballet Class to over 200
mostly at-risk elementary children each year and a series of free "First Step"
classes. That 18-week program
includes free classes, free shoes, free uniform, bus tokens...we even do their
laundry! The Company also gives
2 to 3 free performances every year of our regular ballet programming at the
Center for the Performing Arts.
(Attendance last year was over 7,000. Most of these kids had never seen a ballet
before.)
